Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara N/Park
You will be picked from the airport in Nairobi or hotel room and transfer to Maasai Mara national park. This national reserve is famous in the country due to its diverse wildlife and the annual migratory animals such as the wildebeest, zebras and giraffes.
All these are spearheaded by the by Mara river that splashes its waters in the valleys. Other mammals include among others buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo and leopard.
Day 2: Full day Maasai Mara national reserve
Take the morning and evening game drives in the savannah plains or Mara where you will be able to spot many animals and among others include buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo and leopard.
Also, you will have your lunch picnic in the wild as you experience a lot of wild gems. This experience will reward you with a chance of photography due to a close-range viewing.
Day 3: Masai Mara to L. Nakuru NP
Take a morning game drive after your breakfast as you pass through the plains of the nature reserve. This has attracted over 350 bird species and also many animals such as giraffes, rhinos, waterbucks among others.
It’s famous for a million flamingos that turn the area into pink. It also contains a sanctuary that conserves white rhinos. This lake is one of the lakes in the rift valley that have soda ash and this makes it a hub for various mammals and birds.
You will then take an evening game drive around the plains of Lake Nakuru to explore its beauty.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Baringo
Continue with a game drive in Nakuru after your breakfast as you head to Lake Baringo which is one of the lakes with freshwaters in the Great Rift Valley. L. Baringo is home of a unique tribe called the Njemps who are cattle keepers and fishers.
This lake is fed by several rivers such as the El Molo, Parker and Ol Arabel and it has no outlet and this makes it a home of crocodiles and hippos. Also, various bird species are spotted here like the eagles, kingfishers among others.
You will take a boat cruise to the nearby island to experience the beauty of this lake.
Day 5: L. Baringo to L. Naivasha
You will take a morning game drive in this park and discover more land mammals like waterbucks, impalas, buffalos, elephants, warthogs among others. Then proceed as you head to L. Naivasha covering an area of 140sq.km and located nearby hell’s gate gorge and Elsameres.
Take an afternoon game drive to be able to spot many wild games like the giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, monkeys, warthogs among others.
Day 6: Depart to Nairobi from L. Naivasha
Take a game drive after checking out and breakfast as you depart back to Nairobi or take a nature walk to the hell’s gate national park that is famous for a wide variety of attractions like hell’s gate gorge, central tower column among others. The safari will end after a drop off at the airport or hotel in Nairobi.
