Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Tsavo east national park from Nairobi
After your breakfast, transfer to Tsavo east national park which is well known for its historical man-eater lions. It is one of the largest and oldest national parks in Kenya covering an area of 13,747sqare kilometres.
The journey takes 2 hours and you will use Buchuma gate to access the park and on the arrival, you will have your lunch and then head for a game drive to start the adventure as you visit Kanderi swamp an area where a large concentration of animals are located such as lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, cheetah among others.
Day 2: Depart from Tsavo east to Amboseli national park
Depart Tsavo East and transfer to Amboseli national park where you will be accompanied with a game drive out of Tsavo national park. This takes 5 hours to drive from Tsavo to Amboseli.
While in this national park, you will view Mount Kilimanjaro which dominates the landscape and open plains. Many animals are spotted here such as buffaloes, impalas, lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, blue wildebeests, and Masai giraffes among others. enjoy a game drive to the fullest as you discover more of wildlife in their natural state.
Day 3: Transfer to saltlicks from Amboseli
Have a leisurely breakfast and then transfer to Saltlicks which is a 6-hour drive through the plains and valleys which offer a beautiful spotting and photography points.
Then check in the salt lick game lodge, which is an extraordinary unique architectural concept, with luxurious oval-shaped houses which attracts a large number of wildlife mainly the elephants.
In the evening, animals gather around the waterhole which gives a great sight for photography. Enjoy the rest of the evening at the lodge as you prepare for the next day departure.
Day 4: Transfer back to Nairobi and fly back home
Enjoy a pre-breakfast game drive and after return to the lodge for the mid-morning breakfast, and then proceed with a game drive through the plains as you search for buffalos, lions, zebras, antelopes, different monkeys among others.
Then after lunch head back to Nairobi city and a drop off at Jomo Kenyatta international airport for your flight back home. This will be the end of the safari and please come back again!
