Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve
Welcome to Kenya! Our assigned tour driver-guide will give you a warm welcome at the airport on arrival and quickly gives you a detailed briefing about the safari. You will then travel southwards to Maasai Mara national reserve where you will have a great memorable time.
You should know that this reserve is one of the famous in Kenya and the whole of East Africa due to its annual migration of wildebeest. It is also located in the southern part of Kenya at the border of Tanzania.
It is known for the unique culture of Masai people who are cattle keepers and are believed to be the ancestral inhabitants of this place. On arrival, you will check in the safari lodge for your dinner and night stay.
Day 2: Full day Maasai Mara game drive
Full day game drive on this wonderful day will be an exciting and loving memory as you drive through the savannah plains where you will spot numerous animals, birds and tree species.
This will be an adventure where you take your picnic lunch in the wild spearheaded by beautiful scenery. Among other animals that will be spotted include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo and leopard.
Then in the evening, you visit the Maasai people where you will be entertained with their cultural dances and also learn more about their culture. Return to lodge late evening for your dinner.
Day 3: Sunrise game drive in the plains of Masai Mara and transfer back to Jomo Kenyatta international airport
Head back for another game drive to spot the missed animals and also spot the early raisers like the lions, leopards, jackals, spotted hyenas among others and if you are lucky enough, you will spot the predators hunting for prey.
Then proceed to Nairobi as you head to the airport to board your scheduled flight which will be the end of a 3 day Masai Mara safari.
